DROP SHIP POLICY

Drop shipping our products is great way to increase the number of high value products you sell without having to outlay all your budget on stock.

Simply select the items you wish to promote, and then when you sell an item we ship the product directly to your customer. We do not put any paperwork with the goods, we simply invoice you directly.

To apply for dropshipping, you must register with us first.

WE RECOMMEND…..

We recommend that you use this service to promote high value items, for example Buggies, Travel Systems, Furniture, Cots, Cot Beds and Junior Beds. Please note that Cots and Cots Beds etc take approx. 7-10 days for delivery if we are out of stock at time of purchase and we do require the customer’s phone number to arrange delivery of furniture, so remember to supply this at check out.

WHAT NOT TO CHOOSE…..

Some items are sold in pack quantities, and are therefore not suitable for drop shipping. These items are clearly indicated on our website. Low value items are also not suitable for drop shipping, so we recommend these are ordered and held in stock by you. We do not recommend that the drop ship service is used to solely support a retailers business.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT….?

Goods are dispatched with no paperwork, and an invoice is sent directly to you. If your order comes to us by 2pm we expect to dispatch the same day on a 24 hour service (although this can depend on how busy our warehouse is). Please ensure that there is someone at home to sign for the goods. Unfortunately, we cannot inform you on each occasion what day the goods will be dispatched, but we do send an email confirming that goods have left either the same day, or the next morning so you can then advise your customer accordingly.

If goods cannot be delivered by our courier (either because no-one was at home or the wrong address details given) and come back to us we will charge you our carriage fee again to make a re-delivery. However, our couriers will try to deliver more than once and should leave a card before returning the goods to us. Goods can be delivered to a work address.

PLEASE NOTE……

Please note that although most items are held in stock, it is possible at the time you place an order we may be out of stock, but we would always try to offer an alternative replacement for you or advise the lead time for new stocks to arrive. We cannot give advance notification of when items are out of stock as we often do not get advance warning from manufacturers ourselves. We advise you regularly read our news and stock update sections for information about long term out of stock issues.

WHAT ARE THE COSTS TO YOU?

Our product price does not change for drop shipping, but our administration and carriage fee is slightly higher than if you were placing an order to be delivered to you direct. Some larger items like cot beds, dressers and wardrobes will be charged per box, and this will be calculated at check out for you.

Carriage costs vary according to the delivery address supplied, so please refer to our shipping costs for more information on this. We do not ship to BFPO addresses. Carriage is quoted per delivery address and not per product.

WHAT SHOULD YOU CHARGE?

We cannot tell you what price to sell at but you should be aware of SRPs and your competition when setting your selling price and the costs of transportation. Should we find that any retailer is encouraging price wars by excessive price dropping we reserve the right to suspend their account. This policy is to support the manufacturers brand and to support genuine retailers.

OUR RESTRICTIONS

Retailers with a shop premises or shop with supporting website will be required to spend an initial order of £200 and retailers with an on-line presence only will be required to spend £1000 on stock with Baby Brands Direct to be entitled to the drop ship service thereafter. These minimums are required so we can ensure you have a stock base to start with.
