2011, has been a fantastic year for Baby Brands Direct with phenomenal support from the independents in both increasing numbers and spend per store.  With this confidence the company has been able to take on an additional warehouse unit to steadily increase the number of nursery categories it caters for alongside increasing its portfolio of leading brands. 

New Brands for 2011 at Baby Brands Direct – Exclusive!
At the beginning of the year Baby Brands Direct were delighted to welcome Obaby whose popularity and growth continues to rise.  Their wheeled goods provide retailers with not only competitively priced products but good designs matched with equal quality. They also cater for a variety of parental needs including different styles of twin and tandem models. In addition, their highchairs and furniture items, particularly swinging cribs have led the sales in their respective  categories.  

 

The summer saw the launch and addition of the Esprit and I’Coo ranges of wheeled goods into the portfolio. Synonymous with luxury, style and fashion they are made from the finest materials and have all the features and more that you would expect. The I’Coo range has caught the eye of many retailers especially at The Baby Show for Trade with its MP3 connectivity, built in speakers, LED lights and the ultimate in suspension systems. Both brands offer healthy margins to its stockist stemming from its well-protected and controlled distribution.  

In September Baby Brands Direct had the pleasure of introducing the French brand, Beaba within their feeding and food preparation category. As the creators of the world famous Baby Cook, which is an icon in itself for innovation and quality, featuring a patented steam technology and compact design Baby Brands Direct were confident their retailers would be delighted. The ‘Bib Expresso Instantaneous,’ is an instant baby milk provider and has been an instantaneous hit! With its super stylish 3 part patented devise that heats water to precisely 37’C in just 30 seconds it’s proved to be a must have product.  

More recently, the infamous monitor brand, Motorola, joined the monitor category offering seven models covering a wide variety of technological requirements, style and fulfilling various price points within the market.  With the addition of this brand, Baby Brands Direct is now able to offer its retailers approximately 70 per cent of the market share by volume of monitors bought by parents.

The Latest Exclusive Arrivals
Last month saw the Lindam Brand finally return to the independent market via Baby Brands Direct with its opening of a new category of home safety products onto their on-line wholesale website. The range offers a wide variety of safety gates in different materials and features, over a variety of price points ranging from RRPs from £22 to £99. Alongside this, it brings a stylish range of well packaged safety guards including socket covers through to door cushions. In addition, it has a variety of car travel accessories including sun shades, car seat protection, safety view mirrors and organisers.  

Fortunate enough to finish the year with further fantastic news, Baby Brands Direct is delighted to announce they now also exclusively wholesale the award winning Munchkin Brand!  The brand has a great feel good factor with colourful packaging and fun and competitively priced products.  Within the range there are over 16 bath time toys including squirts, shape sorters and fountains!  There are also bath time solutions including shampoo rinsers, bath grips, organisers and toy scoops. In addition, there is a vast range of feeding items from brilliant fresh food feeders to snack towers. There is also a nappy disposal system, with refills and designer changing mats. 

In Summary
This year has seen a record number of stores being issued with their loyalty credit and putting it to immediate good use! In addition, Baby Brands Direct is so pleased to have had so many participants in its various competitions and delighted to have been able to announce so many winners throughout the year. Overall it’s been a great year and with supportive retailer feedback the company hopes to continue in the right direction in 2012.
