Playmobil has launched an engaging video using their iconic toy figures and playsets to discuss the Coronavirus in an easy to understand way covering points that are more important to children specifically. This includes subjects like not going to school or playing outside with their friends and why that is important in order to keep safe and healthy.
Playmobil is a heritage brand of over 40years stemming from its figure toy that is around 7.5cm tall with a scale of 1:24, that fits well within a child’s hand and sports a cherub like smile, similar to that of a child’s drawing of a smile. The brand has fantastic creative artwork, short DVDs, online games and last year even launched the first Playmobil movie which starred Daniel Radcliffe, all helping to keep the brand relevant and popular amongst children.
A spokesperson for Playmobil explains that they have used their toys to break down the complexities of the Covid-19 outbreak, explaining how and why it’s affecting their everyday lives, and what the important, little things they can do to help. “This movie uses Playmobil to help explain in a way that children can understand what is happening right now, what we can all do to ease the situation, and why it so important to avoid contact with other children and adults.”
The synopsis for the video reads: “The whole world is talking about the corona virus. Day cares and schools have closed, and children are asking a lot of questions”. Retailers can view and share the innovative and popular 5 minute clip below which is also a superb insight into the extensive range of characters and playsets that the leading toy brand manufacturers.
