Baby Brands Direct are delighted to announce the arrival of new Care Bears plush toys, rattles and comforters from leading licensed toys manufacturer, Rainbow Designs! These delightful toys feature a modern spin on these classic characters, bringing their design up to date with current trends! The Care Bears were created by Those Characters From Cleveland (TCFC), the licensing division of American Greetings, and illustrated by Elena Kucharik. They debuted on greeting cards in 1981, before becoming a multi-media franchise over the following decades. Over the years, there have been several films and TV shows featuring the Care Bears. The franchise saw a recent reboot in 2019 with Care Bears: Unlock the Magic – a new cartoon series that featured more simplistic, modern designs for the characters. Viewers can stream this new show on Netflix, Prime Video and Youtube. Rainbow Designs have created their range in line with the reimagined Care Bears look, appealing to today’s children that enjoy the show!
The Care Bears are unique in the way in which they introduce the concepts of empathy, emotions and friendship to young children. Each bear is different and carefully designed with a unique colour and tummy symbol representing an emotional trait or friendship related theme. Some iconic Care Bears characters include Funshine, Cheer Bear and Bedtime Bear – all of which are represented in Rainbow Designs’ new range! By wearing these traits on their bodies, they provide parents with an accessible way to introduce key learning themes for emotional development and better socialising skills.
Rainbow Designs’ new range includes wonderfully snuggly Care Bears toys, which are available to buy wholesale at competitive prices through Baby Brands Direct. Each product currently has three variants – Cheer Bear whose main colour is pink, Bedtime Bear whose main colour is blue and Funshine whose main colour is yellow. Each teddy features their own motif – rainbow for Cheer, crescent moon for Bedtime and sun for Funshine. This means there’s an option to suit all genders. The Rainbow Designs Care Bears Comfort Blankets are the perfect naptime companion. These comforters feature an adorable bear face, attached to a soft triangular blanket. Each blanket comes with knotted corners that tiny hands can easily grasp. Comforters are perfect for helping to soothe young children – providing them with something that feels comforting and familiar helps calm them down and make them feel safe, enabling them to fall asleep easier and regulate their emotions.
Also available in the new range are adorable Rainbow Designs Care Bears Ring Rattles. These cute rattles combine the soft plush fabric with patterned fabric on the front that match their Care Bear motif. The rattles are easy to grip and encourage grasping and movement, to improve fine and gross motor skills. The chime rattle softly jingles when shaken, providing auditory stimulation that boosts sensory development.
Finally we have the Rainbow Designs Care Bears Plush Toys. These lovely teddies are full of stuffing, making them wonderful for hugging! Each has an expression that matches their theme and their facial features are embroidered with care, meaning there are no attached eyes that could be choking hazards. Kids love to bond with soft toys, as they provide companionship and comfort, as well as a listening ear without judgement. They can often be great buddies for imaginative play, helping kids process real life emotions and scenarios.
