Founder and Father, Peter Rohrig, had a vision of combining excellence in medical infant products with appealing designs; in 1976 the combination did not exist. Under MAM’s umbrella he grouped together scientists, doctors and designers from the Vienna University of Applied Arts to create functional and attractive infant feeding products.

The brand actively supports retail pull through demand, with sampling to 1 in 2 pregnant Mums as well as to HCPs. They conduct 12 UK Baby Shows p.a., drive awareness through activities with Emma Diary to Mumsnet and have won circa 60 awards in just the last 5 years. Baby Brands Direct is a proud distributor to the independent sector since 2009.

In 2022, MAM became the largest market share holder by units and value in each category of Baby Bottles, Teats and Soothers, in Great Britain (GfK data). In 2023, the brand launched its first carbon neutral soother, Original Pure, that is made of Bio Renewable material, leading the way in innovation and sustainability.

From new parents to seasoned veterans, there is always a time when they will be looking to introduce a toddler cup. Sometimes they will be needed when they are teething, going through a growth spurt, or in hospital.

Key features of toddler cups include handles to help them grip the cups, have lids to keep content secure and avoid leaks around the house and while travelling. The generally come with a spout or straw to differentiate between milk and juice drinks respectively, but also available with teat to ease transition from bottles. More modern concepts include 360 drinking rims that open with suction to enable flow.

Toddler cups come in a variety of sizes, and parents will want to make sure that the size is appropriate for their toddler development and size. They also come in various fabrications including silicone, plastic, glass, tritan and stainless steel. At Baby Brands Direct retailers can access a vast range of types from leading specialists including MAM, Tommee Tippee, Dr Brown’s, Kikka Boo, Nuby, Bébéconfort and Béaba.
